Listing an index

Anyone can add an index.

Step What happens
1. Burn and propose Burn 2,000,000 $FLOAT with a methodology file: universe rule, number of items, cap per item. Weighting is always 30-day volume share.
2. Shadow period The keeper publishes the index for 14 days without trading.
3. Check It passes if it was stale less than 5% of that time.
4. Opens Trading opens with net exposure capped at 5% of the reserve.
5. Graduates After 90 days the cap rises to the standard 20%.

The multisig matures a passing listing through its 48-hour timelock.

Delisting

A listed index that stays stale for 7 consecutive days is delisted. Open positions settle at the last good level, with no spread and no close fee.

The burn

The burn is final. It is not refunded if the index fails its shadow period or is delisted later.
